Completed Confused On Tank Results (Not Cycling)

I will likely either get a betta or a single plain goldfish at this point if we can't figure anything else out.

 
You cannot put a goldfish in a 2.6 gallon tank, goldfish will grow far too large for the tank.

A betta will be fine since the very minimum tank size for these are 2.5gals.
 
Or could just use that tank as a low tech tank with some nice shrimps and snails.
