can guppys tails grow back -_- , cos my small male guppys tail has been bitten and so has hes side fin :/ . He seems happy enuff and swimming about ok :fish: Sorry if this sounds such a silly question :*)

yes.........they do,
but I have one that was bit off as a baby....and his brothers have huge tails...and his has been very slow to grow back...they are adults now, and his is at about 1/2 the size of the others. :/

When guppies lose their tails many times they can get fin rot which can end up killing the fish. I had a guppy whose tail was nipped and then just started disintegrating.

I have a male guppy who had allmost all his tail niped off by a swordtail.
But he is doing well and his tail is growing back very slowly.

i'm not sure if it will grow back...but you'll want to raise the temperature to try stop whats left of the tail getting infected

yup they do grow mine got fin rot at an early stage and has not totally grown back and looks great
