Hi Friends,
I need your expert guidance. Can Bettas live a healthy life on only Tetrabits Pellets? Or do they compulsorily need an occasional live feed? Would Bettas kept on a diet of only pellets be more prone to diseases?
Bye,

They will stay alive and live fairly happily on dry foods, but I strongly suggest supplementing their diet with at least frozen foods. Earthworms are easily accesible and make a great treat chopped up. You can get a lot of mosquito larvae from leaving a bucket of water outside during the summer. If available, bloodworms are the best possible live, frozen, or freeze-dried food for bettas because they are midge larvae, and are abundant in the pools and ditches that wild betttas inhabit in the Far East.

They aren't too filling though, unless you buy adults at your LFS. ANother good live food to get at your LFS is ghost shrimp. I would ask for the smallest ones possible so they can be eaten, and if they don't then they're nice pets.
