bump on the head

I noticed tonight my JD is developing a bump on the side of his head. At the moment its about the size of a dull pencil point with no discoloration. I also noticed an increase with him flicking his body against the rocks. He used to do this on occasion but not enough to cause any concern at the time. His appetite has diminished also but thats to be expected with an illness. Im positive it didnt come from his new tank mates. Any ideas to point me in the right direction?

If he flicking and rubbing on objects its a parasite are trhe gills red and inflamed, heavy breathing or pale gills, also could be fish louse, small bump with a disc shaped parasite.
