Bleeding Betta?

I came home today to find my new male stuck between the glass and the filter. I released him, but his white/blue tail now has a bright red streak along the bottom. He is very subdued and i am scared he is going to die of shock.
Is he bleeding, or is it new colouration?

Need to look at your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Red streaking is bad water quality to septicemia.
