Bala Shark Growth Rate

I've just bout 5 of these that will be going in my 6x2x2 eventually, however in the 50gallon I am currently putting them in is a Needle fish, Archers, and a Knifefish, and I have under-estimated how much difference there was in size, so now I will be moving them over to a 4ft tank to grow out a little. Will the sharks grow quick so they wont have to stay in this tank too long?

In 6 months my bala sharks have gone fron 2 inches to 8 inches so they do grow quite quickly yes.

Thanks, I've put them in a 4ft 40 gallon for now, but I'm unsure whether to leave them in this to grow up or put them in a 55 gallon 26" cubed. Which do you think would be better? The 4ft is 48"x12"x15"

I would suggest what ever tank is the longest so the 4footer!

Yes the longer tank would be more suitable,i had mine in a 4 foot tank for around 8 weeks until i got my 90gallon tank.
