I recently bought two excellent pieces of wood that had previously been in a mature tank for several years. I am currently soaking them in the bath to get them to sink again as they had been in dry storage for a year after they came out of the original tank. I have notices that there is a lot of what looks to be BBA on it and I don't relish the prospect of sitting there for hours pulling off the strands manually before putting it in to my tank. Any ideas how I can rid of it quickly without damaging the wood

EDIT: As the title suggests, you can even remove it twice.

Cheers guys. I believe they are Sumatra and Redwood (link to pics below). I have just taken them for a jet wash and they are now back in the bath. I reckon this took about 50% of it off. The rest I will just try a scouring pad in hot water.

1 part bleach to 10 parts water will do the trick. Scrub it off and rinse three times and let the wood dry completely. Soak it until it sinks. After that it will be safe to add to the tank.
