I went to my LFS today and, (although i already knew they had them), noticed and strongly considered getting a pair for my tank. Just a pair of (as they labelled them) 'wild caught peruvian red-shoulder severums'. They were $120/pair, and about 4 inches. They had only four. So now i'm wondering if this is a good price to pay for this fish. I mean, if it's outrageous, heck no, forget it. But i've never heard of them before. Here's a pic of another one found on google: Severum

I checked out some sites on this exact species. Some photos they had that looked alike, but not exactly, were labebelled heros efasciatus. As well, it's a 90 gallon. Suitable conditions for just the pair?

They were gorgeous fish with quite some atttiude :)

Thanks! Great article :D

So would 120 be worth it for the pair? or is that just outrageous?

look up Heros Sp. Rokteil. that will give ya some more info on them.

why this got moved out of new worlds I don't know as that is where it belongs.
