Hi.
I have a small 2 inch ancistrus in a tropical tank. 27c, zero Ammonia, nitrite and nitrate, kh1, gh4 and ph7.
I've noticed these white 'threads' attached to the spines on either side of his head. I tried getting a pic but it's not very clear. They really look like bits of algea that's got caught. I thought some form of fungus, but can't find anything similar. As it's on the exact same place on each side of the fish I think maybe his spines have caught something fluffy. He eats and swims fine. The strands are single and white about 1mm long and not clumped together. Approx 2 to 3 strands each side.
Thanks everyone.
