I wanted to help protect my betta fish against algae problems that I have had in the past. I have a 3 gallon tank. Are there any algae eaters that I can put in the tank with them? Or do i need a bigger tank? I have a 10 gallon tank but after I had algae problems in it I used my smaller tank. Are there any algae eaters I can add to the 3 gallon tank or so i need to use the larger tank?

You couldn't put any sort of algae eater fish in that tank, although shrimps would work. A lot of people would suggest that a 3gal is too small for a betta as well, although I'm not so sure. What betta species is it that you have (since you have posted this in the non-splendens section)?
