Hi, I have a 5 gallon eclipse aquarium.

It's fully cycled

I had one red-tailed male guppy and three neon tetras in the tank.

I got another yellow-tailed male guppy today and when I first introduced him in the tank, the red-tailed guppy seemed to be curious and he kinda followed around the new yellow guppy.

Now after several hours I introduced him, the new yellow guppy is chasing after red guppy.. it seems like he keeps trying to nip at the red guppy's tail.

Is this a form of aggression?

If so, will the red guppy be ok?

Both guppies are not bothering the neons at all.

and do you guys think it's ok to get one more male guppy in this tank, making the toal number of fishes into 6?

Thanks

A 5 gallon tank is a little small for the fish you have, so no more fish I would say, sorry.

Also, it could be a form of aggression, and/or territorial behavior.

Also, I dont know how two males will get together with no females present.

You might want to take back the male and get a female!
