hi all.
so a little bit about the tank first
its a clearseal 60 liter with one t8 light.

one of the back seals had been repaired but in black silicone so i gave fixing it a go.
first problem

my silicone had sealed in the nozzle. but with a handy corkscrew

don't tell mum

i managed to clean the seal using a vinegar to fully clear all of the debris.
and with a handy ratchet strap got it all square and lined up again

so hopefully in the next day or so that will seal solid and i can leak test

in the mean time i have a nice bit of wood (i.d. required if anybody knows) soaking

water has since been fully tannined (pardon the spelling) and water changed.
im hoping to have a sand substrate from which to plant from with the help of some root tabs.
plant list is more than open to change, but with only the one t8 im unsure as to what i can have.
stocking wise: at the moment im putting my betta in there, not sure what else but thats a while off yet.
so this is where i am.
any comments or criticisms are welcome.
thanks for reading

whoops forgot to mention the filter.
im going to use a interpret pf1 with a baffled outlet so the betta shouldnt be affected.

that tank looks familiar... dont slate my handywork on the emergency repair haha. enjoy!

wasn't slating it :p
just saying that it was an emergency job so i started again

amazon frogbit from my main tank, as i  have loads floating around.
thinking of maybe tying some anubias to the wood.
not sure what else.
do you have any ideas?

good choice with the frogbit.. my betta loves it.

how about micro swords on one side of the tank and a few rocks on the other?.

thanks i hope i can get it looking good.
hadn't thought of micro swords. will have to have a look and let you know what i think.

im sur you will..

no worries . be sure to keep this thread updated :)

edit: text was all outta wack

Well if you transfer the BN plecs later you should be ok with any of those shoaling fish.

Galaxy Rasboras are really skittish and are only really good for a species only tank imo. I'm not familiar with most of the other species, but the tank is too small for lamp eye tetras I think. Pygmy Cories would be good. Maybe some Otos once you've transferred the BN plecs?

definately go for the pygmy cories , then any of the small rasboras would be ok i guess ,although i have not had much experience with them..

yea the bn's are getting moved the second they are over 1 inch so shouldnt be too long
thats a shame about the galaxy rasboras as was getting really quite tempted.
how about a small school of pygmies on the bottom and a shoal of wcmm on the top?
