55g discus tank What you guys think

My 55g discus tank still need work want to change gravel to sand but dont know how without getting new tank syndrome

unless you have an undergravel filter, changing the substrate won't make any difference to the filtration cycle.

If you have a power filter, leave it running and simply remove the gravel and replace it with clean well washed sand.

You need a picture/ backing on the tank too. It helps the fish feel more secure.
