:P
Teeny tiny

I was telling Sorrell earlier about my "mini betta" from my red spawn, so I snapped his pic and figured you guys might get a kick out of him too. Out of 300 someodd fish this is the only one who is tiny, everyone else is average...he's just special :P

Somehow he has managed to hold his own all of this time in the 55 gallon that holds the remaining 150+ reds. I noticed him a few weeks ago and he kept catching my eye a few days in a row (which is hard to do in a crowd that size!),but he looked all clampy so I decided to pull him for his own welfare. Now his personality is starting to show and he's really just too cute.

Here he is at his full size next to one of his brothers for an example :)

Its mini! Are you going to keep him? Maybe you could create a whole new breed of micro bettas.... :sly:

Isn't he a little super freak? But I like him

Probably,I'm sure no one else would want him :/ And he's fine here with me. He's even found himself on the "live worm" diet, only a select crew get the live food everyday (the younger crowd) and he is now one of them. :)

I would ;)
That's the cutest little betta ever!
It would be interesting to try to breed him and see if any of his offspring come out tiny too.... midget bettas!
I have a crowntail girl who is half the size of all my other females. I figured she was just young when I bought her, but she has never grown... she's a fiesty little thing though! I love her to bits

Edit: .... But seriously. If you don't want to keep him for whatever reason, I'd be happy to pay shipping *wink wink nudge nudge*

Synirr, if you want him, he's yours  I'd love to see him go to a home but I figured you guys would think I'm insane if I put him up for adoption  I assumed he was one of those -"Oh well, you'd just better stay home with mommy"- kinda boys

He's a little DT too

You know, I've been looking for a boy small enough to breed my little crowntail girl to... :shifty:
Just pm me and gimmi the details... I'd love to have such a cute little guy!

By the way, here's my teeny girl:

That black thing is filter sponge blocking a hole in the plexiglass so she can't wiggle through the divider...

Oh my GOD he's soooo adorable!
I'd have offered to take him, too, if someone hadn't beaten me to it! ;)
He could hang with teeny little Liza!

Oh! Isn't he just so teeny and adorable. :D Now just think - if someone could find a way to breed miniature bettas and remove that unreasonable aggressive gene from them - we could have huge tanks full of betta boys and girls. Think of the possibilties! :hyper:

He reminds me of the clown fish in Finding Nemo, the one with the "lucky fin". It just made everyone love him more!
