hello i was going to buy some live rock i found on the net, the bloke said i would have to boil it first to kill it. but if "dead" live rock is ok to go in don't that mean most rock can be used? i just really want loads of caves set up before i replace my peacocks will yellow labs. unless yellow labs can go in with peacock? i really dunno how to set the rocks up so they won't fall or even the best rock to use. thanks
Yellow labs will go with just about anything I've noticed, I've had it with very aggressive Africans as well as right now I have a hap peacock tank and four labs in there. They love it!

Live rock will become dead rock in freshwater.
No real issue in using it apart from the prices. Saltwater live rock is normally quite expensive.
And yes yellow labs can pretty much be in with anything that doesn't pick on them. The labs are rarely the aggressors.
Some however just like to break the mold so as with all Africans keep an eye on all your stock.
