Well... I thought I was having a happy morning... bought a few new guppies at the pet shop and they were settling in nicely. One of the females has dropped 4 massive fry and appears now to have prolapse.

Is there anything that can be done for her? Will it go back in on its own (its not huge, maybe the size of a fry head... buts its not a head)? Can she live like this if I avoid breeding her? (Though seeing as guppies can store sperm that may not mean much).

I do have the option to return her to the store... but really... if she has any chance she's better off with me.

Lots of females die after big births, not sure what can be done.

I've had two die shortly after birth before, but none have had prolapse.

Hopefully its good, but it appears to have gone halfway back in now.

Sounds like it's a wait and see game. Hope everything works out for you and her.
