My brother just got two oscars and they don't seem to eat very much at all. He's been feeding them cichlid pellet food and freeze dried shrimps but most of the time they eat them and then spit them back out. Any recommendations on what to do or for a change in diet?

They love pea's and carrots, they are known to eat and enjoy more than other things shrimps and prawns. Try meal-worms we used to feed oscars on that. They do go off there food quite allot and need a change in diet from time to time.

Oscars are big babies!! They are like 2 year olds, they pout and throw tantrums. Any change in their environment can cause this. Give them a little time to settle in and they should be fine.
