I've recently purchased a 200us gallon tank and will be moving my fancy goldfish into it. I was thinking I would equip it with a Fluval fx5 canister filter. I am wondering if this will be enough filtration. I will not have more that 10 goldies in there.

I think it'll be fine. But, that's just me. They poop a lot, and I mean : A LOT. Which creates a lot of ammonia. I was told by someone, the bigger tank for goldfish, the better!! So good job on the 200 gallon!! :)

Thanks for your input. They are messy little Bad word removed. That's why I'm concerned about the filtration. The fluval fx5 claims to be good for up to 400 gals and I do frequent water changes but I was hoping someone might know for sure. The way I'm setting the tank up, it will be tough to add more filtration further down the road.
