It's not suggested to have a gourami and betta together because they both are top-dwelling and the betta may mix up the gourami for another male betta and may injure it.
Platys ok
Corys are very social fish doing much better in groups of 6+ and you'll see their true behavior more in that group size.

Good luck!20 Gallon

-4 Mollies mollies ideally should be in hard alkaline water tanks that are large and have fish of similar size, They arent good choices for you tank as they get 4 inches long and chunky meaning that youll have to do repetitive water changes to keep the water conditions in the optimal range for the fish . And if you have softer water then they won't last as long and will get sicker easily due to stress, leading to a lowered immune system
-1 Dwarf Gourami dwarf gouramis are very fragile fish due to massive amounts of inbreeding leading to Dwarf gourami disease, and with the betta constantly pestering it, it has a very high chance of being succeptable to this, and many other diseases they also aren't compatible with bettas, because they are both labyrinth fish, meaning that they breath air so a mostly found in the upper layers in the tank, once they see eachother they will most likely begin to show aggressiveness, so you should take it or the Betta back, and also, you said that you'll out the Betta in the bowl if it is still flaring. A bowl is not sufficient, I recommend a tank of ATLEAST 2.5 gallons, but preferably about 5 gallons
- 1 Betta bettas are very aggresive fish and shouldn't be placed with gouramis and full grown colorful mollies, you said in your other thread that it was flaring at the gouram. Thats a by bad sign, becuase it shows that he is aggresive towards the fish, and is being stressed by flaring too much
- 3 Red Wag Platys These fish are okay, just make sure that they aren't colorful as the Betta might see them as a threat like he did towards the gourami, I just have one thing to say. If you have makes and females then you might get an over populated tank with multiple platies. As long as you rehome the babies then it should all go well.
-1 Cory Catfishdo you know what type it is? If it is emerald cories, or one of the othe larger species then you can't support a full school of them and I recommend that you replace them, also what do you feed them? Just flakes?
- 2 Golden Mystery Snailswhat do you feed them? They should be okay, but just make sure that you supplement there diet as most people don't feed them and they end up Dieing without the owner knowing, then cause a large ammonia spike resulting in multipe deaths within the tank

I feed the Snails plants and algae and food along with catfish food.
I am pretty sure the livebearers are males. Petsmart sells them and im pretty sure they only sell males.
I am attached to my gourami and betta so i will try to get a seperate paradise for my betta.
Thanks!

If you have males and female, you want the male to female ratio of be 1 male to every 2 females.
Whoa!! Keep it simple! Lets not go on an informaation overload!!20 Gallon

LOL! I just had too. LolGoogle search sexing livebearers. It will help you learn how to tell the difference between the female anal fin and the male. Basically the females anal fin looks like a fin. The males look like a "pole" for lack of better term. And petsmart actually sells both male and female.

I think that there is only one type of DG mate (Trichogaster lalius) there are many different color variations though. But still none of the variations I have seen would be near compatible with bettas
mine is a red flame and is currently in with my male and a few females (which will be going back to the shop when everything gets moved to my 125litre on saturday)
i was just wondering because apart from mine i have yet to find another DG that is compatable
