I just saw these guys at my lps and was wondering if they would be compatible with a CT betta? They only have males but my 10 gallon only has the CT betta and 3 otos. Also would how hard would it be to get them onto freeze dried food instead of frozen/live? Any pointers/experience with them is welcome.

Personally i would say no. I've never really dealt with them before and now i've had 10 and they are such aggressive little things! Mostly they killed each other i think  but now i have two and they are so nippy!

Most shops only sell males, and they can be very territorial with each other. You'll need at least a square foot of tank bottom per fish, plus plenty of hiding spots and plants to break the lines of sight. No idea on betta compatibility, never been into splendens.

I'm guessing 2 males would be pushing it then?
