i really think it would be cool to have a like/agree button to peoples replies. and when you click on it you can see a list of the people that like or agree with that comment. (could also run a comment of the month comp) most likes/agrees wins, saves writing +1 all the time. i didn't know what that meant for a few weeks.

+1 is just one step away from clicking a "like" or "dislike" button. It's standard forum slang for agreeing with the previous statement.

+1

Really couldn't resist that one, it was just so there.

This has been asked, and covered before. The "like" idea most often ends up being a popularity contest to some extent or another, thus is not utilized on this forum.

I think a like button would be good. Giving a +1 means giving another post; having a like can be hidden at the side of the post or something?

I'm a member of another forum and they have this (as I mentioned above) if any of the mods were interested in looking at how the other site do theirs then I can always pm the address of the site?

Don't think there's no need to add this tbh - the +1 system members use seems to be alright, plus it doesn't take hours to type +1 really does it?

im part of another forum where there used to be a like and dislike option on posts.

it turned into a complete farce. it was meant to be used to reward informative, helpful posts. very quickly it was being used on 'fuuny' posts, uselss posts, and for pretty much no reason at all. was a waste of time.
