Hi all,

I have never ventured to the salty side before ...

I subscribed to PFK magazine when the offer for a free Microhabitat 8 was on offer. It has only been used for a fry tank once.

I am now in a position to set up the tank properly.

I know that there is a microhabitat 15 out but can I 'convert' my MH8 to a small coral tank?

What will I need to do if it is possible? ? ?

I am a complete newbie in saltwater and I would like to know if it possible to do before researching.

Many thanks for any responses.

Thats an 8L/2US gallon tank isn't it? Dont want to get you discouraged but I would not recommend that for a sw tank. Your stocking would be EXTREMELY limited to maybe some lr, zoas and a couple cuc. Not realy any room for fish and you would probably need to do water changes every other day and definately top offs daily, maybe even a couple times a day to keep the salinity in check. Not worth it as a marine tank IMO.
