Why haven't my fish employed the new homes I've built them out of slate? I have a firemouth, who I have heard like caves and territories. Also would I be able to put a convict (or more?) with my firemouth? I have a 100 litre, a firemouth, a bulldog plec and 9 rummy nose tetra.

My cichlids never stay in one cave. They do all have a favourite place to hide to. But for the most part they go where they feel like going. I am sure they like the cave don't be offended.
