Ok here is my problem. I have an 800-liter take that has been running for about a month and a half. I have some Tiger barbs (they were my guinea pigs), a Bala shark, Ruby Tets, Placostomus (cant spell that one), 2 catfish and a Ghost fish. The water tested 100% a week and a half ago. The problem I have now is a small Tiger Barb (1.5cm) has gone and died by swimming into the lining of the tank right by the filter. I am unable to get to it other than draining the tank, which I do not want to do. The question is how will this affect the water quality and for how long? Iam still doing regular water changes 25% 1 to 2 times a week to reduce the tannin content from the wood. Would this be enough to keep the Ammonia levels down? How long would it take to decompose?

Thats some size of tank you have. Whats the dimentions of it. Plus what are you going to keep in it

In a tank of your size it won't make much of a difrence. A fish that size will prob, vanish in a few days.
All the water changing etc will solve the problem anyway. I wouldn't worry about it to much.
