This is the hill near Slane village in Ireland where St. Patrick lit a fire in defiance of the pagan High King of Ireland who was traditionally the first to light a fire at Easter time, in the year 433 AD. He subsequently managed to convert the pagans to christianity by defeating the pagan wizards in various contests. Or so the story goes. Taken this eveing 20-2-2005.

That's absolutely beautiful..

If I liked my history prof more I'd print it and show him, as he specializes in religious history.
Alas, he's mean and tried to fail me.

But I love the picture.. any chance you have a desktop-sized one?

What kind of camera do you have if you don't mind me asking? All of your work is beautiful.

Thanks smile.gif The camera is a Nikon D70 digital SLR.

I can do a wallpaper later, what size is your desktop? I usually make 1024x768 but if its bigger let me know.

Maybe if you bring the photo in he'll give you better results!

That's my desktop size. biggrin.gif

He's my prof from last semester, I'm afraid it wouldn't really help me if I brought in the picture anymore.. though I do have to speak to him as my grade hasn't changed even though I did the extra credit.. maybe it'd help! laugh.gif

Your photos are really clear, not blurry like mine.

I can't say anything about the colors other than it looks like hellfire itself is raining down upon the cemetary, yet another glance shows that they're only clouds. wink.gif

Great images, did you use ND grads on the second image? The sky and foreground are really well balanced.

Good work.
