That is the truth though, we do depend on the honesty and good will of the members. The fact that he posted a tank that was not his, then came here flaming about the situation is what started the issue today.

You do realize, if you read the whole post, that if he had just left the situation alone nothing more would have come of it. But facts were obtained that showed the tank was not his.

There was nothing wrong with that statement. If the situation resolves such as this, I personally as a member would want to know so that I know who to trust and who not to trust on the forums.

Look at it from that perspective. Also I do not like to be lied to or decieved. I called them because everyone was claiming it wasn't his tank and I felt that I might obtain a good answer and the situation would be handled. Unfortunately this was not the case. Basically this allowed the situation to be handled and overall by most members it was handled in a civil and peaceful way.

The most important thing to remember out of this is not what happened, but the end result was the resolution of the problem with the truth coming forth. And actually this would be a good place to handle this on this thread for the simple reason that it kept it out of all the important areas of the forum and did not detract from the help people were needing nor pulling away from the pictures forum.

Good for you. Do you feel better about yourself? I don't suppose it's possible that the tank at the store you called was inspiration? Why does TOTM even matter, none of the OTM contests evn seem to get judged anymore.

Doesn't look like he admitted it to me. Looks like he's saying he designed and helped his uncle with the tank. If he didn't, he didn't, but from the outside, one has to ask why you care.

Despite that, despite who was right or wrong in the original thread (I just don't care), it doesn't sound like he was hurting anyone by doing it, but some of you seemed awfully quick to jump on the lemming-like crucifixion bandwagon. Is it worth it? It must be to you all.
