unsure.gif After Fred died Charlie got some kind of fungus on him. It look like white cotton puffs. Plus he had lose his appitite and wasn't very active. I picked up some maroxy from the lfs. What a diffrence. Most of the white stuff is gone, and my little red piggie is back to his old eating ways!!! My question is the lable says not to use any longer then 5 days with a 20% water change on the 6th day. I have done all that, but it didn't get all the white stuff off of him. How long should I wait before I treat again? Charlie acts like he feels better I just don't want to wait untill it gets bad again.

Hi and well done for doing a great job good.gif

It should say on the instructions somewhere about repeating meds? I know with Myzaxin, you need to leave 48 hrs between that and other treatments. If it was me, i'd leave it a couple of days, do another water change, and then repeat. But hopefully someone knows the meds you're using and will post good.gif

I thought I would wait a week then do another 5 day cycle. There is only a small patch on his left pec. fins. It was all over the top of his head and near his left eye when I started the treatment. At least he is acting (eating) like his old self.

I checked the bottle doesn't say how long to wait between use. I would hate to hurt Charlie.

sounds like cotton wool? fungus i think, and congrats if that was it you did a real good job nursing him back, but continue with the meds till its completly gone, very clean water is key, most fishes that get that die, a magior fry death problem but mostly i think spawn water needs to be cleaner, but no matter what i tell some people,,, ie dumb pets shop owner that should just stick to sales cause he is such a nube that he was keeping bettas with goldfish,,,, anyway sorry bout the rant! be your guys seem to be getting better!
