My female jumped out of the tank about 2 weeks ago and I sadly didn't get to her in time. I suspect she was stressed as I had just done a large water change and she must have lept out as she flitted around the tank. Up until that point her and her mate had been happily spawning every few days and producing fry (that she would then eat ) so I am convinced that this was an accident as opposed to a health issue. Now by male goby seems very lonely and is clearly pining for her. He raised their last group of young but now he has nothing to do and spends his time looking for a chum, lol while still guarding "his" shell. I have realised the only way to make him happy again is to get another female which is where I have hit a snag, I can't find one anywhere! So if anyone within a 25 mile radius of Tring, Herts has a female they can spare I have a lonely male waiting for her! I will pay the going rate for these guys (think mine were around £7 each so I would go up to a tenner) but I need a confirmed female.

Never mind, went back to LFS and spotted 3 peacock gobies in a tank full of half beaks and one of them was a gorgeous girl. She is settling in well and the male seems keen, lol.
