No fishies just yet, but I fell in love with this lil guy on Aquabid and bought him from Zephyrnyc:

I can't wait for him to come! I'm scared to name him tho... When I was younger every time I named a fish it would die shortly after from ick or something no matter what we did to save it sad.gif Granted, that was almost 20 years ago... But I'm superstitous blush.gif

Ack! I cant figure how to get the direct link to the piccy to show up mid topic blink.gif The links work at least!

if you have a betta from a good source hopefully it wont have any illness to start off with. But perhaps you should head to the store and stock up on some decent fish meds. I keep in stock everything I could need for nearly every illness. mostly because I am a stay at home mommy who lives on a farm in the middle of nowhere and getting to a lfs is not a quick walk down the road.

The seller had 200+ comments on him, all positive, so I'm hopeful! It'd be a shame to see a beauty like that come all sick... I need to stock up on yummy food for him too, so I'll pick up all the meds at the same time! Now I just need a spot to keep all this stuff where my kitten wont get into it... I'm not worried about him fishing in the tank since it has a secure lid, but anything not in a solid container food/med wise is in danger of being carried off and shredded rolleyes.gif

I gave up on facebook for pic linking and just posted the pics on photobucket instead (like I should have to start with nugget.gif ), here they are for those that couldnt see them before:
