i know water quality etc etc will depend, but roughly how long, a month? or longer??
just wanted to know because i have some (although only 1 week old) and i brought a platy that was about 10mm and i risked putting it in my main tank, but it was fine, so i wanted to kno how long it would be (timewise) before i put the others in |

they are normally about 5-6mm when born so they should hit 10mm in 3-4 weeks without any problems, probably sooner if they are really well fed. Newly hatched brineshrimp is the best food for them.

if the brineshrimp are little tiny orange things then they are newly hatched and then frozen and will work well. If the brineshrimp are a pale colour then they are probably adult brineshrimp and don't have as much nutritional value.
Baby platies can be fed on microworms and powdered dry food as well. |

The first week or two is when they grow the fastest. I also swear I can see a change from day to day on my endler fry and they start even smaller.
