Hello.. in the future I hope to breed my bazil.

what equipment do I need? including plants etc

Firstly I have two five gallon tanks for use, one has bazil in and one is running but fishless.


is there rules as to what tailtypes can breed with what?

i wanted to breed some kinda pearly female with my male? can I do that? hes in my avatar.


any advice, pointers, rules etc welcome while I decide if I am both capable and ready/prepared to try and breed.

Well you can breed whatever you like together, but some results are 'desired' more than others.. just depends on personal preference

I think there are threads on this at the top of the Betta section, look on 'Betta FAQs' then theres a section on breeding

he is a very pretty crown tail, blue with butterfly markings,, that means white on the tips, if and when you decide you want to breed i would get him a <pearly> blue cambodian or maby a pinkish one a ct as well breeding cross colors would get a greater varity of baby colors breeding like colors makes more similar colors, but babies are alot of work, so do your reading and prepare if you think you are up for the time! happy future< hopeful!> betta parenting!
