I was looking in a fish book and saw Bleeding heart Tetras and decided I wanted to try some. Mostly I was looking for a differnet fish shape since I have cherry barbs and white clouds with the same basic body style. I put 6 in my 50 gallon and Now they are my favorite fish! They have beautiful colors that the pictures don't do justice to. Mine are silver with an orange sheen, Fuchsia heart spot black and yellow or black and orange dorsal fins and blue and red or white and red anal fins (some fish have the blue and red anal fins others have white and red same goes for the dorsal fin) and a slight orange mildline. They always school and just look awsome together. I think I'll add more when my other fish pass on.
It was really hard to find them and oddly enough no LFS had them but Petsmart! I'm glad that I found them and was wondering if anyone else has them and loves them like I do....Or hate them......

The picture doesn't do them any justice! The are eating some tubifex worms I smashed to the glass.

Just recently put 5 in my 55g with my SA cichlids. Nippy little buggers IMO, have had a go at my geo's and now my silver dollars sly.gif May have to up their numbers to see if that stops the nipping or re-home them. Probably re-home them!
