So I made a DIY python using the original spare parts and my own 50ft hose. I can't get any suction going. The connection only fits my kitchen sink and the water pressure is pretty low so is this the problem?

They are about the same height, maybe the sink is a little higher.

If the sink is lower, it should work, although the longer the hose, the less efficient it will be. You might want to consider reducing the hose length?

If not, you need to have one end on the tap and the other end in the tank, then you need to run the tap until the water starts to go into the tank, then turn the tap off. The water should then start flowing out of the tank.

Cheers good.gif

If the sink is higher, that'll be an issue smile.gif No lower options? Outdoor tap?

It does not matter what hight the tap is at as long as the exit pipe is below the tank level. I have a 180 litre tank at the same hight as the bathroom sink. I made a diy python and just made the exit hose long enough to go uot of the bathroom window into the drain(way below tank level). works a treat!!!
