one of my angelic loaches likes to let my filter suck him up to it and hangs out there just looking around.the first time he did i thought he was dead but i've noticed he does it quite frequently.has anybody else seen loaches doing this?

(I'm assuming you are saying that your B.Kubotai hangs around the filter intake or sits on it)

This is not uncommon. Filter intake often has fragments of food which attracts fish, esp. loaches; additionally loaches are attracted by flow.
Keeping the intake clean and providing some flow elsewhere in the tank should reduce this behavior.
