Hey Everyone!
I got my tank about 2-ish months ago and I am looking to start a diary. My tank is already fully loaded with fish, fake plants and is cycled... It's unplanted, though, unless you count fake plants, and I was unsure of posting ANYTHING diary-related in case it was off topic. Where is a good place on here to post a diary of an unplanted tank, while still having people reading or hopefully, commenting on it?

Or... Is it too late? Will I bore everyone, since I didn't start at the beginning?

If you're planning to be a beginner to having live plants, I can't see why there would be anything wrong with starting a thread in the planted tank forum. Then just update it every now and then and ask questions in it. I wouldn't put it in the planted tank diaries section unless you plan to do a -lot- of the planted tank hobby.

If you're not going to do plants now, and feel like asking beginner questions, then "New to the Hobby" is the place, whereas if you are feeling pretty experienced, "Tropical Discussion" might be more the place. These are just my feelings after being here this year, there might be better suggestons, I'm relatively new myself.

Wow. 1344 posts and 'relatively new'?
Thanks for the advice, though I don't think I'll be putting any real plants into the tank anytime soon. I think I MAY start one in New to the Hobby..
Thanks so much. blush.gif

oh, ok, no plants soon, that what I was checking on.. I think "New to the Hobby" would be perfect and you could go about it two ways, either a continuous diary that you update every now and then or you could just periodically ask questions. I really think people like to chat and sort of have "conversations" and hear other's thoughts - it really doesn't have to be just questions and answers all the time...
