All was fine yesterday.

Today I notice the Angel I have had for 2-3 weeks is not being as excited and happy as usual. It's abdomen is kinda big and round.

I fed the fish peas. It took bites, but looked like it spit it back out.

I also noticed what looks like a scale hanging from one side of its body. Round clearish flake.

I can't do anything until morning.

Should I treat with an anti-bacterial ?

I adore this fishy and am really worried. It is small, a couple inches.

try to get a picture of what it is at that would be more helpful. also include your water stats and as much info as you can about your tank because the more info we have the better we can help you. ive never really heard of anything like this, is it possible it was attacked by another fish in your tank???

I tried to get some pics....all blurry. I will try again in the morning with natural sunlight as well as water test exact stats. I didn't notice anything wrong.

I have it with a Gold Ram, Diamond Tetras, and Corys, BN Plec

Never seen any nipping. The Ram and Angel swim together....will keep an eye. Thanks

False alarm ....LOL, sorry. I was paranoid as I have lost 2 fish before with swollen bellys.

The Angels belly was fine this morning. I then remembered that I had put some sinking shrimp pellets in the tank for the corys. The Angel must of ate a couple and was completely stuffed !

Still suspicious of the scale though. One of the diamond Tetras likes to chase alot. I am going to put a couple more females Tetras in there to even things out.

Thanks
