You can get the albino to go with the bronze since they are the same kind. Then maybe a couple more of the other kind so it will have friends of its own kind.
I would stay away from the pandas though. You don't have enough room, and the pandas might not do well in your water any way. You don't want to get them... fall in love... just to watch them get sick or die... I have done that. It isn't a good thing. I don't remember how many of what you have in there right now, but you can get away with a little overstocking if you have live plants and good filtration. Just up the waterchanges a little and things tend to go fine. |

We've got 4 zebra danios, 2 bronze cories, 2 leopard cories, and two very small 'black ottos' in a 75 litre tank. The danios are youngsters with some more growing to do, so at the moment we're understocked, but I think we'll still be OK when they're all fully grown. There are lots of plants and the filter seems very good - just the tapwater that's a problem.
Sounds like the pandas wouldn't be a good idea, but I'd like to add an albino or two - if they will swim with the bronzes, perhaps one would be OK, as I don't want to risk overstocking. But I'm trying very hard to be patient and not add any more for a while, while the filter is maturing and stabilising - not easy!!! At least I can talk about them while I'm waiting... Thanks for all the advice - its really useful to hear from people with experience - and hopefully avoid making mistakes. |

... rhostog- I wouldn't bother adding any Panda cory's until you get the nitrite down to zero, as they are very sensitive to any fluctuations in water quality, and may end up suffering That's a problem for me, as there's nitrite in my tap water, so I'm adding it every time I do a water change. Thanks Anglian Water. The pandas are so cute, but I wouldn't want to get them if they're going to be unhappy in there. I'm thinking I'll probably go for albinos - they had some in the shop a couple of weeks ago - just hope they're still there when I'm ready! Nitrite in your tap water?! I've never heard of there being nitrite in tap water, but i have nitrate...Someone will probably be able to clarify this as i am not sure! *wonders off to get a sample of tap water and test it for nitrite* |

It seems to be quite unusual to have nitrites in tap water, but Anglian Water do admit to it in the report on our local water:
http://commercial.geodesys.com/waterqualit...nslade_MW38.pdf Apparently, it can occur naturally, or can be a by-product of the chloramine treatment. We've got a fair bit of nitrate too. |
