my first betta comet is ill,

he has been eating fine, but he's gotten all emaciated and lethargic, and his colour has faded out, he has also developed what looks like fungus today on some of his fins, have started treatment for fungus, but don't know what else to do,

have had him for about 9 months. not sure how old he was when i got him, but i don't think he was that old (although he was fully mature)

please help

Has he lost weight due to not eating.
How old was the betta when you got it, as being skinny can be a sign of old age as well as other things.

Unfortunately he didn't make it cry1.gif

as i said in the first post, he had been eating fine, greedy as always

until yesterday, he had been fine, maybe a bit thinner than usual, but still active and colour was great. then yesterday he faded out and developed the fungusy stuff, and started to hang at the surface.

not sure how old he was when i got him, but he was def not a juvi, he never really changed from what he was like when i bought him.

thanks anyway.
