Misty Water And Algee Probs

Hi all im having a problem with the water quility, it is a new set up of 4 weeks and and the water has suddenly gone extremley misty.
I had very bad alge and did a water chane of 25% yesterday and give the inside a good scrub as well as the filters the water is now very dirty
and misty to a point you can not see the fish when they swim to the back i have 6 platies and 6 tetras feeding once a day in a 125 liter tank could anyone give me some advise as one of the tetras died last night and im worried the others will follow suit. Thanks

was the tank set up properly?
what type of bloom?
is the water of a white milky colour/or green

i would say for now do a 5o% water change now

did you clean the filter with tank water?
