Hi as some of you may know I have been waiting some time, for my new Kribs to pair off and hopefully start to breed.
Well seems although it was worrying at some points that they were sucessfull... they are now free swimming and Mum and Dad are doing a fantastic job !!
Thought I would share the pics, sorry for some of the "gunk" at the bottom, I darent Vac the sand until they are a bit bigger, and dont want to disturb them just yet
Becks.

Keep an eye on your male, mine started wanting to take over the care of the babies and was beating up on the female so i had to move him out to another tank!

Thanks for the kind comments. rolleyes.gif
I am watching, to be honest I cant beleive they have got to this stage on their first attempt, although they seem totally content with each other and are jointly looking after the young, there has been no sign of aggression so far and they seem to be taking equal responsibility
I am going to leave them to get on with it , although if they become argumentative I will take Daddy out !!!

Just a quick update, mum and dad are still in the tank and are fab with their first batch of babies, Daddy is very protective , seems to be patroling the tank night and day whilst mum stays with babes, I really, really, really needed to vac out the tank today and do a water change and nearly got pecked to death , so decided would be best to leave them. They may be slightly dirtier than i would like but they seem to be doing a fantastic job, i really cant believe it for their first time they have amazed me and sooo cute to watch
Becks.

you have done a fab job, you are the sort of fishkeeper that could put 2 drops of rain together and come up with a rain season, you always get it spot on, im sooo proud of you, and your dedication and the way you are up and down the stairs all night checking on them laugh.gif
sometimes i dont think i would notice if my 4ft disapeared from infront of me lol, but you know everything from one hour to the next, i think you are a terrific fishkeeper,.. keep up the fabby work

lots a luv
shelagh xxxx
