Do you think it's worth trying to treat her with met blue in a sep tank? thanks again |

Columnaris can affect the head region aswell.
For columnaris in the uk anti internal bacteria med and pimafix. How long has the fish been like this. It can peel the skin away like it has done on the head. Columnaris has many disguises it dosn't alway have to look fluffy. http://www.flippersandfins.net/flexibacter.htm This post has been edited by Wilder: May 10 2008, 10:05 AM |

The plec is in a bad way and the longer you leave it the chances of saving the fish are slim.
It already looks to late to me. I would add the anti internal bacteria med by interpet. It would be better if you could issolate the fish. Increase aeration in the tank when you add the med, Methylene blue can wipe all the benefical bacteria out in your filter, so no I wouldn't use it. |

Really? She has inmproved no end, Maybe the pics just don't show it. She only has a tiny bit of damage left, the right side has cleared up completely. I will add some no. 9 tho and see how we go.
