blink.gif [size="5"]I have recently bought my first fish tank and I was thinking of keeping Neolamprologus brevis. I have set up the tank (rekord 96) and filled it with water and cores sand and inserted nitorvec also please advise me on how long I should wait until I put fish into the tank. Tank has been set up for approx 5 days now

You'll need plenty of shells for your brevis to set up territories, 3 shells per fish is usually good, you can use escargot shells found at any fine foods seller. They also need a higher PH and hard water, and since they stay at the bottom of the tank, you could add a couple of smaller Lake Tanganikya fish for the top. Check with the folks in Old World Cichlids for suggestions. good.gif

Before adding any fish I highly recommend fishless cycling your tank. Here are some articles on cycling and other beginner stuff. As well as info on l.brevis. If you have any questions that aren't answered by the links, feel free to ask.
