Does anyone know if a Niger Trigger could be placed with a Coral Banded Shrimp? I've read up on these guys and it's a constant debate about whether these Triggers will eat inverts. Does anyone have any personal experience with this fish?

If you got the Niger when it was small/young, I'd imagine it might be OK with one. It's a risk for sure you have to be willing to take...

I had a medium sized niger trigger for a few months with cleaner shrimp, and the trigger never even looked at them. To be honest they rarely eat any inverts on the substrate, with the exception of sponges.

Alright, thanks. I was looking at a Trigger that has been in my LFS for a few weeks now. He seems very mellow but active. The perfect specimen if you ask me.
