Diego was just fine yesterday and I just fed him his dinner and I noticed blue stuff (for lack of a better word) on both of his eyes. He can still see...he got to his food fine and was flaring at the camera. It's not a white cloudy growth like I've heard described of most eye problems. I am completely at a loss here! These are the best pics I could get. I put him in a small cup and he still wasn't still enough. He's just so fiesty!

Judging from the pictures i would be tempted to say its "cloudy eye". That looks sort of grey/white.
If it is cloudy eye we have treated it succesfully with Myxacin.

See what others say first to be sure

Melafix worked on my Cory when he had a cloudy eye, so you could also try that. Ask someone on dosage for a betta though.

just looks like excess mucous to me. It can be brought about by poor water quality or bacterial infection.
Check the water quality to make sure it is ok.

Ok so an update. I have been keeping his tank very, very clean. I added melafix as well as some salt (figured it couldn't hurt), but he has shown no improvement. I know its only been a few days but Im worried. It doesn't really look like cloudy eye I don't think. You can't really see from the picture but it is a perfect blue ring puffed out in his eye (ie ring of black like normal, puffy blue ring, then normal black eye again, if that makes any sense lol). He has no other symptoms at all. It's really strange. Would excess mucous cause a ring like that to form?

his eyes look like they are bulging out a bit in the bottom pic. If the water is good then he has a bacterial infection. You will have to treat him with something. Waterlife Myxazin should work.

Thanks for the fast reply! Melafix says is a bacterial remedy....but should I get the Myxazin anyway? (I'm assuming its more effective?) Will try to get it asap!

Myxazin is much more effective than Melafix when it comes to bacterial problems
