Hello! I'm new to raising fish so any help would be great. I have a pregnant Balloon Molly and I've had her for about 3 weeks. Her belly is actually as big as her body and she is so big that she doesnt move around much and her butt hole looks like it is turning inside out. (Sorry to be so blunt, but I didn't know how else to describe it.) The man at the pet store said she could have a sickness that causes them to swell or it could be that she's just ready to deliver. Any Answers?

Do you have a breeders net? it holds the pregnant mom until the babies are born. When they are born they drop away from her and are seperated into the other compartment. when she delivers, which should be anytime, when she delivers, put her in the main tank and put the babies in a seperate tank. I always keep a 'hospital tank" set up for new babies. i have a 10g one and a 3 g one. i keep them seperate until they are large enough to care for themselves and keep from being eaten.
