Red tailed tiger shovelnose? Ouch, both parents can reach 5' in captivity so a 6' pool is unlikely to be enough.

Sad but true, and I have just spoken to someone in my area who has 3 of these beasts who are currently still young at the 2' stage. He has offered to take mine off my hands, as my guy will certainly begin eating his current tank mates soon. I really like this dude, but he is dangerous...and fortunately I can give him a good home.

What in the world are these dealers thinking stocking their stores with new born fish when they get to be 5-6' long! I ponder who is at fault, me for believing I was getting a Sorubim lima or the guy who is selling them and calling them whatever he feels like. Should I have done more research??? Guess I will always be asking myself that question. Sad though, when you cannot trust the stores you deal with.

For the same reason car salesmen flog off dodgy motors, if the persons willing to pay without knowing what there buying properly, take there money smile.gif Only thing to do is, make sure you know your stuff.
