hi, i am a noob when it comes to plecos, and i will be rehoming my common pleco and buying a rubbernose pleco. can anyone tell me some basic info, like care, maximum size, life expectancy, and any pics would really be appreaciated.

If you mean Chaetostoma spp. then your average tropical set up is not ideal for them.
They prefer very fast flowing, highly oxygenated, slightly cooler waters. Thats not to say they won't survive in your tank but its not what they have evolved to live in. have a look here |
