Can i have livevbeares with my betta in the tank? What fish will do best with bettas? I have a 29 gal tank.

Let me reemphasize that last point...the Betta will most definitely eat the fry. My little guy carved up 18 guppy fry in a matter of days. I would have moved them elsewehere but they would have gotten eaten with the turtles, too.

They have a tendancy to nip, even with the most docial female Beta. i think that may be down to individuals as with most fish....like i'd say not to neon tetra yet some people keep them fine, I bought my betta from a tank full of mollies and he didn't have a mark on him or his fins from them, and there were looooads. But I'd say whatever fish you go for, always have a backup plan, tank divider or other tank for the betta! |
