Hi,
So I have an injured congo which got its body stuck inbetween a small gap on 1 of my ornaments which i discovered earlier today when the lights went on so he could have been stuck all night. I've already done a water change with aqua safe (which is suppose to relieve some stress I think). Its scales are quite damaged above its main top fin and underneath so I'm unsure what to do next. I have no hospital tank and left it in a net at the top of the tank and after 20mins or so seems to be recovering slightly(touch wood). I'm gona ring up my local lfs to see if they've got any meds to fix this damage but I'm not sure which are best/suitable etc. Also, they've been no deaths in this tank for months so I'm hoping it will pick up no infections. I've heard of meds like melafix or premafix or something when I've browsed this part of the forums before so quick advice of what to do next/what to purchase will be very appreciated ASAP. Tony. Edit: I don't do stats but I do weekly water changes between 20-50% with gravel vac, my stocking is 6 White Clouded Minnows, 6 Corys, 2 horsefaced Loaches, 1 baby bristlenose and 4 congos in a 25 gallon(UK) tank if this helps in a decision. Seems to be, it's just hovering near the surface on lights out (though not grasping for air). I guessing if it gets through tonight it should be ok. I forgot how injured fishies make you panic!

Bleh.. Found him dead this morning, guessing he got damaged too much as he was in the middle of a poo and didn't touch food for the 2 days so probably disrupted something. RIP.
