I used a video camera charger. Worked fine. Some phone chargers might do the trick as well.

These are often found in UK "pound shops" Im sure you will have similar ? Ill wager wallymart will have something usable... all you are after is a "plug in the wall, 12 Volt power supply" Same sort of thing you use with a modem or router...
LIKE THIS Above link shows one for the Nintendo DS, but as long as its got 12 volt output, better with variable, as you may be able to dim the lights... you can always cut off the plug from the end of the lead. |

ok looks like im all sorted then.
quick question. which is better blue or white? im trying to decide if i want blue because it looks cool or white because its more moon like and i will be able to see better. is there a reason why i couldn't get the white? |

nope.... why not get one of each and see what you like - even fit in pairs for a more "moon" like light !

I got the same ones in blue and if you set them to about mid power on the adapter they give a nice subtle glow to the whole tank(in my 55gal atleast). My BGK and Asain BB Cat are finally coming out in the open with only the moon light on. I also got the UV but have yet to try them over a tank.
